two races down
I have done 2 races so far and they both went bad for me. The first race, I felt really good, road the front, stayed out of the back. always near the front during the cross wind sections but 3:40min I just ran out of gas with 1 hr to go in the race.
These guys take lots of risk and its really no time, not to pay attention. I thought about it and I think I had a small bonk. I had no time to eat. I road with a small group of guys to the finish line where i got in the camper...race over.
The second race was a much bigger race. a 1.1 in France with big Euro teams. Unibet.com, CSC, Cofidis to name a few. From the start I didnt feel that good, but it was a feeling that sometime you have when you know your legs will come around. well mine never came around and when they tuned on the heat, I went right out the back door. I couldn't hold the wheels on the big rollers coming into the feed zone. My day was over after almost 4 hrs of racing.
It can be really depressing racing over here. These Euro guys make it look so so easy on TV and even in person. It's not even close to being easy. Well, I'm disappointed because I road hard, I did my days on the bike, I did what was ask of me for training and I get here and Im getting dropped. I hope it gets better.
I leave back for Spain tonight and ill hook up with Hincapie and do some good riding before the next week of racing.
see ya
if i get more pic ill post them...cool?

Europe is your time to learn. Suck it all up and look inside to see where you need to improve. Make sure you're getting rest and eating right, and don't overtrain yourself into a rathole you can't dig out of. Good luck, be safe, and post some photos!
-peace ;-)
