lil something to read

Being in Girona is not as bad as being in Belgium or France. Germany is not so bad because more people than you think speak the English language. Belgium and France, no one speaks English. Well I guess I shouldn’t go as far as saying “no” one, but the percentage of English speaking people is very low.

Girona, they speak Spanish of course and it’s much easer to bridge the language barrier than other foreign countries.
My time here has been somewhat boring because after I train, it’s really nothing to do. I have pretty much seen all of Girona, however I still like looking at the cobblestone walk ways and steep narrow stairways. You think they build American homes in tight quarters? These apartments are less than 5yards across from one another.

It’s a lot of culture here and tons of free self-expressions. Half of the Spanish women have mullets with some crazy (Will Smith, Fresh Prince of BelAir) designs in them and rock Hammer pants….yes you read right, hammer pants. Then you have the high boot thing. What they do is, they find the tallest pair of boots they can find, either stuff the jeans with them, or cut the jeans at the top of the boot. The 60 year olds are even doing it. And the last thing I’ve seen is the young boys 16 and under, rocking the corner store “bling bling”. Full on too. I mean earrings, watches two chains and some fat shell toe addidas. I guess, don’t hate the player, hate the game!

That’s it for now; I’m typing this look at George Hincapie’s homes. It’s laid. Looking really nice. He got the whole top floor…as he should.

Peace

How is the training going? What races are you up for next? How long is the team staying in Europe?

Hbahati, teach that man some Spanish when he gets home. He needs it here and overseas...

    -peace y'all

    Mike,

Training is well. Had 3 bid days on the bike. 4hr, 5hr, 5hr 45min. today very easy with a stop for some Cafe con lache. Its true what Big verg said, if you try and speak to them, they will do there best to help you and have more respect for you. I also found out that if you state that you hate pres.bush, the like you even more and have a new level of respect for you because now you have something in common
